Starting your own business is equal parts thrilling and overwhelming. It’s like standing at the edge of a vast, uncharted landscape, compass in hand, wondering which way to go.

Ignited Pathfinders often know the feeling all too well.

For years, I thought to create content online I have to fit in....

so creativity became something I had to first chase and do it "the right way."

I’d spend hours researching, scrolling through ideas, and looking at what others were doing, trying to find the perfect formula.

Then spend hours creating a post that while proud of it, never did what ity was supposed to do.

For Ignited Pathfinders, the path it leads to.... is always burnout...

we've learned the hard way chasing creativity.... and clarity..... is like trying to catch fireflies.

The harder you chase, the more it slips through your fingers.

It wasn’t until recently that I realized the people I admire the most in the online space are other Ignited Pathfinders... they create their own path along the way, leaving it lighted not so others can just follow them, but show that its possible to step off the beaten path you see everyone else on.

I stopped chasing and started listening to myself again, like I do in all the other areas of my life.....

and THAT is when things began to change.

That’s where we discover our truth: creativity isn’t something out there waiting to be found. It’s already within us, waiting for us to light the spark.

So how do we ignite our creative compass and start building a business that feels authentic to us?

Here are three steps I've been using myself to spark my next move and begin building a world where others want to explore when they themselves need a new method for building and marketing a business with their own products and services:

1. Create before we consume.

Before reading another blog, scrolling through social media, or diving into research, give yourself five minutes to jot down what YOU want to build. No outside influence. Just you, your ideas, and your vision.

2. Follow our curiosity.

Learn to ask: What’s been tugging at me lately? A business idea, a skill you want to explore, or a vision that keeps popping into your mind? Let your curiosity guide you.... it often knows more than your “logic” does.

3. Start messy and small.

Big dreams often begin with imperfect, wobbly steps. Give yourself permission to start where you are. Whether it’s sketching out your first offer, brainstorming your ideal client, or just writing your business “why,” start now.

For Ignited Pathfinders,when we trust our creative compass, the path forward becomes clearer.

It’s not about having all the answers or the perfect plan.... it’s about taking the next step, trusting the spark within us to light the way.

Here’s a challenge to you today: take five minutes to write about the business you want to build. No filters, no rules. Just let your ideas flow. Then, notice how that spark begins to grow.

The compass is already in your hands... trust it.
